September 4, 2026 - The Wall, Hampton, NH

The Friday before Labor Day weekend and I decided to make it a long one and take the day off.  First surf of being empty nesters and I actaully took the Prius up.  There was some small surf, but clean with no wind.  No wind is always the best for getting into waves.  Went up to the Wall and got there around 9:45 and surfed for about an hour and 15 minutes at 12th Street where everyone else was.  That was really the only shot at getting any waves.  There were many small but fun waves to be had.  Very easy to get into them.  They didn't have a lot of power, but you coud get some decent rides.  Water was pretty warm.  Used the McTavish again, my go-to this year.

August 20, 2026 - Jenness Beach, Rye, NH

Weird that it's been 3 weeks since i've last surfed.  This was family beach day before the kids go back to UNH and to UMass.  We had originally planned on Plum Island, but there was some surf, so we decided on Jenness.  Lilian also came along.  It was really a great full day at the beach with chairs and time to relax.  Surfed with the McTav and my 2 mil top, but the waves were pretty small.  Best wave was one that went right by Lilian.  Water was average temp and pretty clear.  We did some family boogie boarding afterwards, which was a blast!  Stopped at Stillwells for some ice cream afterwards.  Love the beach.
