This was almost a carbon copy of the last time I surfed. Same spot, but the wind was just a little higher and waves maybe a bit smaller and clean, but just as fun. Maybe waist high. Getting a lot of use out of the McTavish this year. That board is so easy to catch clean waves on. Waves were plentiful and everyone was spread out on this Friday late morning. Weather was nice and water is still warm. This is the time to surf! I must have caught 20-30 waves and surfed for almost 2 hours with no deadline, so it was relaxing. I'm going to need a new wetsuit very soon as mine has been sown together and I might only get one more session out of it. There should be more surf coming. I'll use my PTO.

September 18, 2025 - Jenness Beach, Rye, NH
Been looking to surf the whole month, but there hasn't been much at the right time. Luckily I have a lot of PTO to use this year. Thursday morning and I could have got an earlier start, but got to Jenness by 9 AM, around high tide. Waves were about waist+, but conditions perrrrfect with no wind. The McTavish was absolutely the right choice today. The waves were so easy to get into that I did not miss one wave in the 15 or 20 that I paddled into. Plus I had to be efficient to get back home at a reasonable time. Caught soo many good rights and few lefts. Very gentle waves. I have a huge seam rip in my excel wetsuit and might need a new one unless I can sew it with dental floss.
